Calibration Formulation

An optimized calibrator is formulated and developed for facilitating the calibration process of a water distribution model. The parameters are obtained by minimizing the discrepancy between the model-predicted and the field-observed values of junction pressures (hydraulic grades) and pipe flows for given boundary conditions. The optimized calibration is then defined as a nonlinear optimization problem with three different calibration objectives.
